study.further is a free, online Bible study app (King James Version and Berean Standard Bible). There are no accounts. Your notes, highlights, bookmarks, reading plans, listening progress and appearance preferences stay in this browser for this site's address. They do not automatically move between computers or browsers. Clearing cookies or site storage can erase them. Settings offers an optional backup of your personal study data.
Bible content is requested online. The host receives ordinary web requests; personal study records are not uploaded. There is no offline library or bulk audio download. Playback necessarily transfers audio to your browser and may buffer or cache it.
Standardized 1769 text, markup and Strong's word tagging from eBible.org and the CrossWire Bible Society. The source identifies this edition as public domain, with a UK rights qualification. It has been parsed into chapters, verses and word segments. This app does not claim permission from Cambridge or a worldwide rights clearance.
The Berean Standard Bible (BSB), from eBible.org, contributed by BSB Publishing, LLC. The source identifies the text as public domain. It is read here chapter by chapter; search and Strong's tools use the King James Version.
OpenBible.info, CC BY 4.0, using data mirrored by scrollmapper/bible_databases. Adapted by reformatting the coordinates and retaining up to six highest-ranked references per verse. No ESV verse text from OpenBible's pages is included.
Open Scriptures, copyright 2009 (Greek) and 2010 (Hebrew). The actual source JSON headers state CC-BY-SA, version unspecified. Adapted dictionary data retains those source terms. Based on James Strong, with contributions credited to David Instone-Brewer, David Troidl and Ulrik Petersen. This adaptation combines dictionaries, normalizes numbers, and selects and renames fields. The separate KJV word-to-number tagging comes from eBible/CrossWire.
Original notices: Hebrew · Greek. These terms concern the adapted dictionary data, not your private notes.
The downloaded CCEL XML editions of these works explicitly identify their historic text as public domain. We extract and reformat entries, paragraphs and Scripture references; modern site summaries and cover art are not included.
Nave's Topical Bible from CCEL is excluded while permission to republish that specific edition remains unresolved. CCEL's policy requests permission for republication, including beyond commercial use.
The KJV recording is read by Rev. Dan Wagner for Talking Bibles (1999), obtained through AudioTreasure. It is not public-domain audio. This free, noncommercial ministry site relies on AudioTreasure's published permission for personal and noncommercial ministry use. Attribution does not transfer ownership or grant unrestricted reuse. AudioTreasure's stated terms distinguish personal and non-commercial ministry use from public-domain recordings.
Runtime dependencies include Svelte, esm-env, clsx, devalue and Hono. Their MIT copyright and permission notices are preserved in the third-party notices.
